  1. I used them. However knowing what I know now and follow blogs with babies that have passed away due to SIDS I highly doubt I will put them in my next child's crib. Why not prevent something if you can:) new follower:) you are an adorable pregnant girl.

  2. No bumpers for us. If something were to happen I would hate to be asking myself "what if". Also my ped and the nurses in the hospital said NOTHING in the crib. Rory is 17 months and we have never had a problem with her bumper free crib.

  3. We did with hudson they were not overly fluffy and we had the angel monitor so I felt ok. I'm not sure after following some blogs if I would on round 2. My sis has not ever put them in gavin's crib

  4. If I do I am going with the breathable ones. They don't have many styles, just simple plain colors that I have seen at Babies 'R Us.

  5. Have them, but don't use them.... maybe when they get older?!

  6. I have used a bumper with Hudson since day one, at first he never moved around and I kept a close eye on him with our monitor, now he moves around so much that without the bumper he would hit his head multiple times a night! I'm not sure that I will use one with number 2...

  7. We had bumpers made for Lilly's crib (But we took them out when she started standing on them - one because we thought she might figure out how to climb on them and right out of crib, and two because they weren't so cute when they were flattened like a pancake). The APA recently stated new guidelines that there should be no bumpers in cribs, and some cities are now banning the sale of them (Chicago was the first). I think we've decided that with baby number 2 we'll just skip the bumpers. You just need to make the decision that you and Jake feel most comfortable with.

  8. We used them with Brennan and Bella, but only after they were 6 months. At the time that is what our ped told us was standard but things change so much it is probably different now ;) ~Amy

  9. We have one, but we do not use it. I'm a worry wart and it just scares me too much.

  10. No bumpers for us. They might be cute, but they're not worth the risk! P.S. I wandered over here from Sarah's blog and just wanted to say Congratulations!

  11. Breathable bumpers for us! You will want something to keep the paci's in. :-) But it is better if there isn't something blocking airflow (helps with the whole sids risk). I just have a plain white one. Works fine for us! I didn't use it at all until he started rolling.
